Intra-Company Transferee

Canadian business with international operations or multinational companies may be eligible to transfer their executive, senior managerial and/or specialized knowledge employees to Canada. It allows a company that has location in Canada to have their employees transfer to Canadian location. The benefit of this program is that it is LMIA-exempt and that’s why the processing time is shorter. The average processing time for ICT work permit is 2 to 10 weeks. The visa exempt companies also have the option for priority processing which means the work permit can be issued within 2 weeks. (this time does not include biometrics)

International Experience Canada (IEC)

Young foreign nationals from 32 countries are eligible to work and travel in Canada through the International Experience Canada program. Program requirements vary by country of origin, but typically include all young people between the ages 18 to 35 (29 or 30 for some countries).

There are three categories of the International Experience Canada (IEC) Program:
1. Working Holiday

3. International Co-op
